Parmigiano-Reggiano

Description

Great for classic snacking and grating, raw cow’s milk, Italy.

Parmigiano-Reggiano, often called “The King of Cheese” and originally produced by monks, is one of the oldest cheeses in the world. Parmigiano-Reggiano or Parmesan is an Italian hard, granular cheese that is produced from raw cow’s milk and has aged 12–36 months. Parmigiano-Reggiano is certainly marvelous grated over pasta, soups, and salads, but is also excellent eaten in small chunks, simply accompanied with bread, wine, jams, traditional balsamic vinegar or fruit.
